I didnt get to do much on the Word for the Way site Saturday, Sunday, or Monday. I did get some things done yesterday, however.
- I located and uploaded the graphics for the January 6th blog.
- I uploaded the article for that same blog and got it scheduled to publish. That’s done!
- I uploaded the 4 most recent Lighthouse Newsletters that I published and got them added to the Main Menu so my readers can access them. I could upload all of 2018’s newsletters, but I’m not sure anyone would want to read stuff that’s a year old. (If you have an opinion about this either way, please leave a comment below.)
- I got some reading done in WordPress All-in-one for Dummies. I’m learning more and more about this thing they call blogging. Hopefully, it will allow me to add some extra features to my site — stuff that will make it easier to access and more enjoyable to read.
So far, so good!
I want to give everyone a special invitation to join me at the Christmas Program that is taking place this Sunday, December 9th, at Lighthouse Church. The address is 1435 Old Humboldt Road, Jackson, TN 38308. The fun starts at 2pm.
It will be a fantastic time of celebration and singing that you don’t want to miss. I look forward to seeing you there!
I only got to work 4 hours on the site yesterday.
I added a few navigational tweaks to the Bible Reading pages and got those and the Welcome Page added to the Main Menu.
I also got the first “official” Word for the Way blog post written and formatted. It’s scheduled for December 30th — the Grand Opening of the site. I hope you come by and check it out.
I’m relying on this book, WordPress All-In-One for Dummies, to guide me on this portion of the journey. (With me representing the “dummies”, of course.)
I just do what I can. When I reach a spot where I can’t get it to do what I want, I go to the book. This may not be the best use of it, but it’s seems to be working for me.
