Juan 10:7-10 (NVI)

7 Por eso volvió a decirles: «Ciertamente os aseguro que yo soy la puerta de las ovejas.
8 Todos los que vinieron antes de mí eran unos ladrones y unos bandidos, pero las ovejas no les hicieron caso.
9 Yo soy la puerta; el que entre por esta puerta, que soy yo, será salvo. Se moverá con entera libertad, y hallará pastos.
10 El ladrón no viene más que a robar, matar y destruir; yo he venido para que tengan vida, y la tengan en abundancia.

John 10:7-10 (NKJV)

7 Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
8 All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.
9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

2 Timoteo 1:3-7 (NVI)

3 Al recordarte de día y de noche en mis oraciones, siempre doy gracias a Dios, a quien sirvo con una conciencia limpia como lo hicieron mis antepasados.
4 Y, al acordarme de tus lágrimas, anhelo verte para llenarme de alegría.
5 Traigo a la memoria tu fe sincera, la cual animó primero a tu abuela Loida y a tu madre Eunice, y ahora te anima a ti. De eso estoy convencido.
6 Por eso te recomiendo que avives la llama del don de Dios que recibiste cuando te impuse las manos.
7 Pues Dios no nos ha dado un espíritu de timidez, sino de poder, de amor y de dominio propio.

2 Timothy 1:3-7 (NKJV)

3 I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day,
4 greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy,
5 when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.
6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Proverbios 29:23-27 (NVI)

23 El altivo será humillado, pero el humilde será enaltecido.
24 El cómplice del ladrón atenta contra sí mismo; aunque esté bajo juramento, no testificará.
25 Temer a los hombres resulta una trampa, pero el que confía en el Señor sale bien librado.
26 Muchos buscan el favor del gobernante, pero solo el Señor hace justicia.
27 Los justos aborrecen a los malvados, y los malvados aborrecen a los justos.

Proverbs 29:23-27 (NKJV)

23 A man’s pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor.
24 Whoever is a partner with a thief hates his own life; He swears to tell the truth, but reveals nothing.
25 The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.
26 Many seek the ruler’s favor, But justice for man comes from the Lord.
27 An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous, And he who is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.

Santiago 1:2-8 (NVI)

2 Hermanos míos, consideraos muy dichosos cuando tengáis que enfrentaros con diversas pruebas,
3 pues ya sabéis que la prueba de vuestra fe produce constancia.
4 Y la constancia debe llevar a feliz término la obra, para que seáis perfectos e íntegros, sin que os falte nada.
5 Si a alguno de vosotros le falta sabiduría, pídasela a Dios, y él se la dará, pues Dios da a todos generosamente sin menospreciar a nadie.
6 Pero que pida con fe, sin dudar, porque quien duda es como las olas del mar, agitadas y llevadas de un lado a otro por el viento.
7 Quien es así no piense que va a recibir cosa alguna del Señor;
8 es indeciso e inconstante en todo lo que hace.

James 1:2-8 (NKJV)

2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;
8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Salmos 40:1-5 (NVI)

1 Puse en el Señor toda mi esperanza; él se inclinó hacia mí y escuchó mi clamor.
2 Me sacó de la fosa de la muerte, del lodo y del pantano; puso mis pies sobre una roca, y me plantó en terreno firme.
3 Puso en mis labios un cántico nuevo, un himno de alabanza a nuestro Dios. Al ver esto, muchos tuvieron miedo y pusieron su confianza en el Señor.
4 Dichoso el que pone su confianza en el Señor y no recurre a los idólatras ni a los que adoran dioses falsos.
5 Muchas son, Señor mi Dios, las maravillas que tú has hecho. No es posible enumerar tus bondades en favor nuestro. Si quisiera anunciarlas y proclamarlas, serían más de lo que puedo contar.

Psalms 40:1-5 (NKJV)

1 I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, and heard my cry.
2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps.
3 He has put a new song in my mouth— Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.
4 Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust, and does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
5 Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
