Isaías 26:1-4 (NVI)
1 En aquel día se entonará esta canción en la tierra de Judá:
«Tenemos una ciudad fuerte.
Como un muro, como un baluarte,
Dios ha puesto su salvación.
2 Abrid las puertas, para que entre
la nación justa que se mantiene fiel.
3 Al de carácter firme
lo guardarás en perfecta paz,
porque en ti confía.
4 Confiad en el Señor para siempre,
porque el Señor es una Roca eterna.

7 »Pedid, y se os dará; buscad, y encontraréis; llamad, y se os abrirá.
8 Porque todo el que pide, recibe; el que busca, encuentra; y al que llama, se le abre.
9 »¿Quién de vosotros, si su hijo le pide pan, le da una piedra?
10 ¿O si le pide un pescado, le da una serpiente?
11 Pues si vosotros, aun siendo malos, sabéis dar cosas buenas a vuestros hijos, ¡cuánto más vuestro Padre que está en el cielo dará cosas buenas a los que le pidan!
12 Así que en todo tratad a los demás tal y como queréis que ellos os traten a vosotros. De hecho, esto es la ley y los profetas.

7 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?

11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

11 Guíame, Señor, por tu camino;
dirígeme por la senda de rectitud,
a causa de los que me acechan.
12 No me entregues al capricho de mis adversarios,
pues contra mí se levantan falsos testigos
que respiran violencia.
13 Pero de una cosa estoy seguro:
he de ver la bondad del Señor
en esta tierra de los vivos.
14 Pon tu esperanza en el Señor;
ten valor, cobra ánimo;

11 Teach me Your way, O Lord,
And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.

2 Corintios 7:8-12 (NVI)
8 Si bien os entristecí con mi carta, no me pesa. Es verdad que antes me pesó, porque me di cuenta de que por un tiempo mi carta os había entristecido.
9 Sin embargo, ahora me alegro, no porque os hayáis entristecido, sino porque vuestra tristeza os llevó al arrepentimiento. Vosotros os entristecisteis tal como Dios lo quiere, de modo que nosotros de ninguna manera os hemos perjudicado.
10 La tristeza que proviene de Dios produce el arrepentimiento que lleva a la salvación, de la cual no hay que arrepentirse, mientras que la tristeza del mundo produce la muerte.
11 Fijaos lo que ha producido en vosotros esta tristeza que proviene de Dios: ¡qué empeño, qué afán por disculparse, qué indignación, qué temor, qué anhelo, qué preocupación, qué disposición para ver que se haga justicia! En todo habéis demostrado vuestra inocencia en este asunto.
12 Así que, a pesar de que os escribí, no fue por causa del ofensor ni del ofendido, sino más bien para que delante de Dios os dierais cuenta por vosotros mismos de cuánto interés tenéis en nosotros.

2 Corinthians 7:8-12 (NKJV)
8 For even if I made you sorry with my letter, I do not regret it; though I did regret it. For I perceive that the same epistle made you sorry, though only for a while.
9 Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing.
10 For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.
11 For observe this very thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it produced in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! In all things you proved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
12 Therefore, although I wrote to you, I did not do it for the sake of him who had done the wrong, nor for the sake of him who suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear to you.

Mateo 6:19-21 (NVI)
19 »No acumuléis para vosotros tesoros en la tierra, donde la polilla y el óxido destruyen, y donde los ladrones se meten a robar.
20 Más bien, acumulad tesoros en el cielo, donde ni la polilla ni el óxido carcomen, ni los ladrones se meten a robar.
21 Porque donde esté tu tesoro, allí estará también tu corazón.

Matthew 6:19-21 (NKJV)
19 Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;
20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
