1 Pedro 2:4-10 (NVI)
4 Cristo es la piedra viva, rechazada por los seres humanos, pero escogida y preciosa ante Dios. Al acercaros a él,
5 también vosotros sois como piedras vivas, con las cuales se está edificando una casa espiritual. De este modo llegáis a ser un sacerdocio santo, para ofrecer sacrificios espirituales que Dios acepta por medio de Jesucristo.
6 Así dice la Escritura: «Mirad que pongo en Sión una piedra principal escogida y preciosa,
y el que confíe en ella no será jamás defraudado».
7 Para vosotros, los creyentes, esta piedra es preciosa; pero, para los incrédulos, «la piedra que desecharon los constructores ha llegado a ser la piedra angular»,
8 y también: «una piedra de tropiezo y una roca que hace caer». Tropiezan al desobedecer la palabra, para lo cual estaban destinados.
9 Pero vosotros sois linaje escogido, real sacerdocio, nación santa, pueblo que pertenece a Dios, para que proclaméis las obras maravillosas de aquel que os llamó de las tinieblas a su luz admirable.
10 Antes ni siquiera erais pueblo, pero ahora sois pueblo de Dios; antes no habíais recibido misericordia, pero ahora ya la habéis recibido.

1 Peter 2:4-10 (NKJV)
4 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious,
5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
6 Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”
7 Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone,”
8 and “A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense.” They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.
9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

Isaías 26:1-6 (NVI)
1 En aquel día se entonará esta canción en la tierra de Judá:
«Tenemos una ciudad fuerte.
Como un muro, como un baluarte,
Dios ha puesto su salvación.
2 Abrid las puertas, para que entre
la nación justa que se mantiene fiel.
3 Al de carácter firme
lo guardarás en perfecta paz,
porque en ti confía.
4 Confiad en el Señor para siempre,
porque el Señor es una Roca eterna.
5 Él hace caer a los que habitan en lo alto
y abate a la ciudad enaltecida:
la abate hasta dejarla por el suelo,
la derriba hasta hacerla morder el polvo.
6 ¡Los débiles y los desvalidos
la pisotean con sus propios pies!»

Isaiah 26:1-6 (NKJV)
1 In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah:
“We have a strong city;
God will appoint salvation for walls and bulwarks.
2 Open the gates,
That the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in.
3 You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
4 Trust in the Lord forever,
For in YAH, the Lord, is everlasting strength.
5 For He brings down those who dwell on high,
The lofty city;
He lays it low,
He lays it low to the ground,
He brings it down to the dust.
6 The foot shall tread it down—

Romanos 12:1-2 (NVI)
1 Por lo tanto, hermanos, tomando en cuenta la misericordia de Dios, os ruego que cada uno de vosotros, en adoración espiritual, ofrezca su cuerpo como sacrificio vivo, santo y agradable a Dios.
2 No os amoldéis al mundo actual, sino sed transformados mediante la renovación de vuestra mente. Así podréis comprobar cuál es la voluntad de Dios, buena, agradable y perfecta.

Romans 12:1-2 (NKJV)
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Proverbios 18:10-16 (NVI)
10 Torre inexpugnable es el nombre del Señor;
a ella corren los justos y se ponen a salvo.
11 Ciudad amurallada es la riqueza para el rico,
y este cree que sus muros son inexpugnables.
12 Al fracaso lo precede la soberbia humana;
a los honores los precede la humildad.
13 Es necio y vergonzoso
responder antes de escuchar.
14 En la enfermedad, el ánimo levanta al enfermo;
¿pero quién podrá levantar al abatido?
15 El corazón prudente adquiere conocimiento;
los oídos de los sabios procuran hallarlo.
16 Con regalos se abren todas las puertas
y se llega a la presencia de gente importante.

Proverbs 18:10-16 (NKJV)
10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
The righteous run to it and are safe.
11 The rich man’s wealth is his strong city,
And like a high wall in his own esteem.
12 Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty,
And before honor is humility.
13 He who answers a matter before he hears it,
It is folly and shame to him.
14 The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness,
But who can bear a broken spirit?
15 The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge,
And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
16 A man’s gift makes room for him,
And brings him before great men.

2 Crónicas 7:12-16 (NVI)
12 el Señor se le apareció una noche y le dijo: «He escuchado tu oración, y he escogido este templo para que en él se me ofrezcan sacrificios.
13 Cuando yo cierre los cielos para que no llueva, o le ordene a la langosta que devore la tierra, o envíe pestes sobre mi pueblo,
14 si mi pueblo, que lleva mi nombre, se humilla y ora, y me busca y abandona su mala conducta, yo lo escucharé desde el cielo, perdonaré su pecado y restauraré su tierra.
15 Mantendré abiertos mis ojos, y atentos mis oídos a las oraciones que se eleven en este lugar.
16 Desde ahora y para siempre escojo y consagro este templo para habitar en él. Mis ojos y mi corazón siempre estarán allí.

2 Chronicles 7:12-16 (NKJV)
12 Then the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: “I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice.
13 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people,
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.
16 For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.”
