Thanksgiving and Intercession

Colossians 1:3-14 (NKJV)

3 We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
4 since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all the saints;
5 because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel,
6 which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;
7 as you also learned from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on your behalf,
8 who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.
9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;
12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.
13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Global Prayer Focus Today & Tomorrow

The global Apostolic community is coming together to pray for Rome, Italy this Saturday, April 30th and Sunday, May 1st. Please join us as we pray for the more than 4.3 million people who live there.

Join us as we pray for Rome with specific focus on the following needs.
  • Pray that the Lord would put an insatiable thirst in the hearts of all who are doing everything they know to do to serve God, but have never had a real encounter with Him.
  • Pray that they would be drawn to pray directly to Jesus, bypassing all other intermediaries such as Mary or the saints.
  • Pray that the Holy Ghost would draw all men to true repentance.
  • Pray that the strongholds of tradition and family pressures would break, freeing the hungry and thirsty to pursue the Lord without fear.
  • Pray that the Lord would pour out His Spirit on all who are actively seeking Him there.
  • Pray for our churches and church leaders, not only in Rome, but throughout Italy.  The spiritual strongholds they deal with are not negligible.
  • Pray for the protection and spiritual covering of all those who will be physically participating in the Rome Prayer Walk.

ROME: Special Prayer This Weekend

Greetings Partners & Friends!

As the Area Coordinator of Western Europe, I want to inform you of an organized prayer effort for the City of Rome, Italy, being conducted the weekend of April 30 – May 1.  A team of over 50 intercessors from our Italian churches will be physically prayer walking through Rome, and multiple other people and local assemblies will be joining with them in distance prayer and intercession.  We invite you and your assembly to join us in this endeavor.

The main thrust behind this Rome Prayer Walk will be to stand in the gap and pray for the millions of people who are hungry and thirsty for a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, but who have no knowledge of how to pursue that.  The high religious traditions of men have shielded them from biblical truth.  Furthermore, Rome is more than just a city.  It is a stronghold, and religious and political decisions made there affect peoples and nations throughout the world.

Would you join us in prayer for the City of Rome, the end of this month?  Here are some prayer points to consider:

Thank you all for the role you play in this end time harvest!

Sincerely,

Paul & Darla Brochu

Good Friday

The words to an old, old hymn came to my mind on this Good Friday:

“JESUS PAID IT ALL”

Jesus paid it all. All to Him I owe.
Sin had left a crimson stain.

He washed it white as snow.

Elvina M. Hall (1865)

“When He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness–by whose stripes you were healed.” –1 Peter 2:23-24 (NKJV)

The Apostle Paul gave instructions regarding how the Lord’s Supper was to be carried out in the Church. His statement can be summed up best with one word. I would like to send that simple admonition out to all who read this today:

Remember.”

23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread;
24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes. –1 Corinthians 11:26 (NKJV)
