“One podcast, coming right up!”

Take #15!! Naw! It’s not really that bad. I do need to give myself a break though, and admit that it’s not actually going to be perfect!

The podcast is coming along. I’ve got all the sound settings where I want them. Now I just have to get a take that I like. I’m looking for a 3–5 minute time frame for the podcast.

I’m pretty sure that I will be able to blog and podcast at least on a weekly basis. When I say blog, I’m speaking of the weekly article I will be writing to feature on the Sunday W4tW blogs. I’m not counting the short daily blogs that I will be doing… like this one.

We’re moving right along!!

I made a lot of progress yesterday on the Word for the Way site:

The site now has a side bar menu which includes buttons for Archives, Categories, the Main Menu, and a Follow button which will allow readers to subscribe to the blog.

And… wait for it… I recorded the December 30th blog. Yep, we may be complimenting the W4tW Blog with a weekly podcast! I’ve still got a lot of work to do before that becomes a reality but we’re headed in that direction. I used Logic Pro on my iMac to record it and (in my opinion) it sounds pretty good. That being said, I will probably re-record it before we actually put it out for public consumption. LOL! If everything goes right between now and then, on December 30th we may be podcasting as well as blogging. (Prayers appreciated.)

The further I travel down this road, the more I see that can be done to make Word for the Way a really great blog.

Slowly But Surely…

I only got to work 4 hours on the site yesterday.

I added a few navigational tweaks to the Bible Reading pages and got those and the Welcome Page added to the Main Menu.

I also got the first “official” Word for the Way blog post written and formatted. It’s scheduled for December 30th — the Grand Opening of the site. I hope you come by and check it out.

I’m relying on this book, WordPress All-In-One for Dummies, to guide me on this portion of the journey. (With me representing the “dummies”, of course.)

I just do what I can. When I reach a spot where I can’t get it to do what I want, I go to the book. This may not be the best use of it, but it’s seems to be working for me.
