Salmo 46:8-10 (NVI)
8 Venid y ved los portentos del Señor;
él ha traído desolación sobre la tierra.
9 Ha puesto fin a las guerras
en todos los confines de la tierra;
ha quebrado los arcos, ha destrozado las lanzas,
ha arrojado los carros al fuego.
10 «Quedaos quietos, reconoced que yo soy Dios.
¡Yo seré exaltado entre las naciones!
¡Yo seré enaltecido en la tierra!»

Salmo 15:1-5 (NVI)
1 ¿Quién, Señor, puede habitar en tu santuario? ¿Quién puede vivir en tu santo monte?
2 El que anda en integridad y obra justicia, que habla verdad en su corazón.
3 que no calumnia con la lengua, que no le hace mal a su prójimo ni le acarrea desgracias a su vecino;
4 que desprecia al que Dios reprueba, pero honra al que teme al Señor; que cumple lo prometido aunque salga perjudicado;
5 que presta dinero sin ánimo de lucro, y no acepta sobornos que afecten al inocente. El que así actúa no caerá jamás.

Psalms 15:1-5 (NKJV)
1 Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill?
2 He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart;
3 He who does not backbite with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend;
4 In whose eyes a vile person is despised, But he honors those who fear the Lord; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
5 He who does not put out his money at usury, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.

Santiago 1:21-25 (NVI)
21 Por esto, despojaos de toda inmundicia y de la maldad que tanto abunda, para que podáis recibir con humildad la palabra sembrada en vosotros, la cual tiene poder para salvaros la vida.
22 No os contentéis solo con escuchar la palabra, pues así os engañáis vosotros mismos. Llevadla a la práctica.
23 El que escucha la palabra, pero no la pone en práctica es como el que se mira el rostro en un espejo
24 y, después de mirarse, se va y se olvida en seguida de cómo es.
25 Pero quien se fija atentamente en la ley perfecta que da libertad, y persevera en ella, no olvidando lo que ha oído, sino haciéndolo, recibirá bendición al practicarla.

James 1:21-25 (NKJV)
21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;
24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

Mateo 3:4-10 (NVI)
4 Juan estaba vestido con ropa hecha de pelo de camello. Llevaba puesto un cinturón de cuero y se alimentaba de langostas y miel silvestre.
5 Acudía a él la gente de Jerusalén, de toda Judea y de toda la región del Jordán.
6 Cuando confesaban sus pecados, él los bautizaba en el río Jordán.
7 Pero, al ver que muchos fariseos y saduceos llegaban adonde él estaba bautizando, les advirtió: «¡Camada de víboras! ¿Quién os dijo que podríais escapar del castigo que se acerca?
8 Producid frutos que demuestren arrepentimiento.
9 No penséis que podréis alegar: “Tenemos a Abraham por padre”. Porque os digo que aun de estas piedras Dios es capaz de darle hijos a Abraham.
10 El hacha ya está puesta a la raíz de los árboles, y todo árbol que no produzca buen fruto será cortado y arrojado al fuego.

Matthew 3:4-10 (NKJV)
4 Now John himself was clothed in camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey.
5 Then Jerusalem, all Judea, and all the region around the Jordan went out to him
6 and were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.
7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance,
9 and do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
10 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
