Hechos 1:4-8 (NVI 4 Una vez, mientras comía con ellos, les ordenó: ―No os alejéis de Jerusalén, sino esperad la promesa del Padre, de la cual os he hablado: 5 Juan bautizó con agua, pero dentro de pocos días vosotros seréis bautizados con el Espíritu Santo. 6 Entonces los que estaban reunidos con él le preguntaron: ―Señor, ¿es ahora cuando vas a restablecer el reino a Israel? 7 ―No os toca a vosotros conocer la hora ni el momento determinados por la autoridad misma del Padre —les contestó Jesús—. 8 Pero, cuando venga el Espíritu Santo sobre vosotros, recibiréis poder y seréis mis testigos tanto en Jerusalén como en toda Judea y Samaria, y hasta los confines de la tierra.
Acts 1:4-8 (NKJV) 4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Lucas 6:32-36 (NVI) 32 »¿Qué mérito tenéis al amar a quienes os aman? Aun los pecadores hacen así. 33 ¿Y qué mérito tenéis al hacer bien a quienes os hacen bien? Aun los pecadores actúan así. 34 ¿Y qué mérito tenéis al dar prestado a quienes pueden corresponderos? Aun los pecadores se prestan entre sí, esperando recibir el mismo trato. 35 Vosotros, por el contrario, amad a vuestros enemigos, hacedles bien y dadles prestado sin esperar nada a cambio. Así tendréis una gran recompensa y seréis hijos del Altísimo, porque él es bondadoso con los ingratos y malvados. 36 Sed compasivos, así como vuestro Padre es compasivo.
Luke 6:32-36 (NKJV) 32 But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. 35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. 36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.
Romanos 8:3-11 (NVI) 3 En efecto, la ley no pudo liberarnos porque la naturaleza pecaminosa anuló su poder; por eso Dios envió a su propio Hijo en condición semejante a nuestra condición de pecadores, para que se ofreciera en sacrificio por el pecado. Así condenó Dios al pecado en la naturaleza humana, 4 a fin de que las justas demandas de la ley se cumplieran en nosotros, que no vivimos según la naturaleza pecaminosa, sino según el Espíritu. 5 Los que viven conforme a la naturaleza pecaminosa fijan la mente en los deseos de tal naturaleza; en cambio, los que viven conforme al Espíritu fijan la mente en los deseos del Espíritu. 6 La mentalidad pecaminosa es muerte, mientras que la mentalidad que proviene del Espíritu es vida y paz. 7 La mentalidad pecaminosa es enemiga de Dios, pues no se somete a la ley de Dios, ni es capaz de hacerlo. 8 Los que viven según la naturaleza pecaminosa no pueden agradar a Dios. 9 Sin embargo, vosotros no vivís según la naturaleza pecaminosa, sino según el Espíritu, si es que el Espíritu de Dios vive en vosotros. Y, si alguno no tiene el Espíritu de Cristo, no es de Cristo. 10 Pero, si Cristo está en vosotros, el cuerpo está muerto a causa del pecado, pero el Espíritu que está en vosotros es vida a causa de la justicia. 11 Y, si el Espíritu de aquel que levantó a Jesús de entre los muertos vive en vosotros, el mismo que levantó a Cristo de entre los muertos también dará vida a vuestros cuerpos mortales por medio de su Espíritu, que vive en vosotros.
Romans 8:3-11 (NKJV) 3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Gálatas 5:11-15 (NVI) 11 Hermanos, si es verdad que yo todavía predico la circuncisión, ¿por qué se me sigue persiguiendo? Si tal fuera mi predicación, la cruz no ofendería tanto. 12 ¡Ojalá que esos instigadores acabaran por mutilarse del todo! 13 Os hablo así, hermanos, porque habéis sido llamados a ser libres; pero no os valgáis de esa libertad para dar rienda suelta a vuestras pasiones . Más bien servíos unos a otros con amor. 14 En efecto, toda la ley se resume en un solo mandamiento: «Ama a tu prójimo como a ti mismo». 15 Pero, si seguís mordiéndoos y devorándoos, tened cuidado, no sea que acabéis por destruiros unos a otros.
Galatians 5:11-15 (NKJV) 11 And I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? Then the offense of the cross has ceased. 12 I could wish that those who trouble you would even cut themselves off! 13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!
Matthew 18:1-5 (NKJV) 1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” 2 Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, 3 and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.”
