Proverbs 18:10-16 (NKJV)
10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
The righteous run to it and are safe.
11 The rich man’s wealth is his strong city,
And like a high wall in his own esteem.
12 Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty,
And before honor is humility.
13 He who answers a matter before he hears it,
It is folly and shame to him.
14 The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness,
But who can bear a broken spirit?
15 The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge,
And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
16 A man’s gift makes room for him,
And brings him before great men.

2 Crónicas 7:12-16 (NVI)
12 el Señor se le apareció una noche y le dijo: «He escuchado tu oración, y he escogido este templo para que en él se me ofrezcan sacrificios.
13 Cuando yo cierre los cielos para que no llueva, o le ordene a la langosta que devore la tierra, o envíe pestes sobre mi pueblo,
14 si mi pueblo, que lleva mi nombre, se humilla y ora, y me busca y abandona su mala conducta, yo lo escucharé desde el cielo, perdonaré su pecado y restauraré su tierra.
15 Mantendré abiertos mis ojos, y atentos mis oídos a las oraciones que se eleven en este lugar.
16 Desde ahora y para siempre escojo y consagro este templo para habitar en él. Mis ojos y mi corazón siempre estarán allí.

2 Chronicles 7:12-16 (NKJV)
12 Then the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: “I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice.
13 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people,
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.
16 For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.”

1 Timoteo 2:1-7 (NVI)
1 Así que recomiendo, ante todo, que se hagan plegarias, oraciones, súplicas y acciones de gracias por todos,
2 especialmente por los gobernantes y por todas las autoridades, para que tengamos paz y tranquilidad, y llevemos una vida piadosa y digna.
3 Esto es bueno y agradable a Dios nuestro Salvador,
4 pues él quiere que todos sean salvos y lleguen a conocer la verdad.
5 Porque hay un solo Dios y un solo mediador entre Dios y los hombres, Jesucristo hombre,
6 quien dio su vida como rescate por todos. Este testimonio Dios lo ha dado a su debido tiempo,
7 y para proclamarlo me nombró heraldo y apóstol. Digo la verdad y no miento: Dios me hizo maestro de los gentiles para enseñarles la verdadera fe.

1 Timothy 2:1-7 (NKJV)
1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,
2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,
6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,
7 for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

Hechos 20:32-35 (NVI)
32 Ahora os encomiendo a Dios y al mensaje de su gracia, mensaje que tiene poder para edificaros y daros herencia entre todos los santificados.
33 No he codiciado ni la plata ni el oro ni la ropa de nadie.
34 Vosotros mismos sabéis bien que estas manos se han ocupado de mis propias necesidades y de las de mis compañeros.
35 Con mi ejemplo os he mostrado que es preciso trabajar duro para ayudar a los necesitados, recordando las palabras del Señor Jesús: “Hay más dicha en dar que en recibir”».

Acts 20:32-35 (NKJV)
32 So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
33 I have coveted no one’s silver or gold or apparel.
34 Yes, you yourselves know that these hands have provided for my necessities, and for those who were with me.
35 I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Salmos 100:1-5 (NVI)
1 Aclamad alegres al Señor, habitantes de toda la tierra;
2 adorad al Señor con regocijo.
Presentaos ante él
con cánticos de júbilo.
3 Reconoced que el Señor es Dios;
él nos hizo, y somos suyos.

Mateo 6:25-27 (NVI)
25 Por eso os digo: No os preocupéis por vuestra vida, qué comeréis o beberéis; ni por vuestro cuerpo, cómo os vestiréis. ¿No tiene la vida más valor que la comida, y el cuerpo más que la ropa?
26 Fijaos en las aves del cielo: no siembran ni cosechan ni almacenan en graneros; sin embargo, el Padre celestial las alimenta. ¿No valéis vosotros mucho más que ellas?
27 ¿Quién de vosotros, por mucho que se preocupe, puede añadir una sola hora al curso de su vida?
