Hebreos 12:1-3 (NVI)

1 Por tanto, también nosotros, que estamos rodeados de una multitud tan grande de testigos, despojémonos del lastre que nos estorba, en especial del pecado que nos asedia, y corramos con perseverancia la carrera que tenemos por delante.
2 Fijemos la mirada en Jesús, el iniciador y perfeccionador de nuestra fe, quien, por el gozo que le esperaba, soportó la cruz, menospreciando la vergüenza que ella significaba, y ahora está sentado a la derecha del trono de Dios.
3 Así pues, considerad a aquel que perseveró frente a tanta oposición por parte de los pecadores, para que no os canséis ni perdáis el ánimo.

Hebrews 12:1-3 (NKJV)

1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3 For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.

Juan 8:31-36 (NVI)

31 Jesús se dirigió entonces a los judíos que habían creído en él, y les dijo: ―Si os mantenéis fieles a mis enseñanzas, seréis realmente mis discípulos;
32 y conoceréis la verdad, y la verdad os hará libres.
33 ―Nosotros somos descendientes de Abraham —le contestaron—, y nunca hemos sido esclavos de nadie. ¿Cómo puedes decir que seremos liberados?
34 ―Ciertamente os aseguro que todo el que peca es esclavo del pecado —respondió Jesús—.
35 Ahora bien, el esclavo no se queda para siempre en la familia; pero el hijo sí se queda en ella para siempre.
36 Así que, si el Hijo os libera, seréis verdaderamente libres.

John 8:31-36 (NKJV)

31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.
32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
33 They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?”
34 Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.
35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever.
36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

Joel 2:12-17 (NVI)

12 «Ahora bien —afirma el Señor—, volveos a mí de todo corazón, con ayuno, llantos y lamentos».
13 Rasgaos el corazón y no las vestiduras. Volveos al Señor vuestro Dios, porque él es bondadoso y compasivo, lento para la ira y lleno de amor,
ambia de parecer y no castiga.
14 Tal vez Dios reconsidere y cambie de parecer, y deje tras de sí una bendición. Las ofrendas de cereales y las libaciones son del Señor vuestro Dios.
15 Tocad la trompeta en Sión, proclamad el ayuno, convocad una asamblea solemne.
16 Congregad al pueblo, purificad la asamblea; juntad a los ancianos del pueblo, reunid a los pequeños y a los niños de pecho. Que salga de su alcoba el recién casado, y la recién casada de su cámara nupcial.

12 “Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”
13 So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.
14 Who knows if He will turn and relent, And leave a blessing behind Him— A grain offering and a drink offering For the Lord your God?
15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly;
16 Gather the people, Sanctify the congregation, Assemble the elders, Gather the children and nursing babes; Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber, And the bride from her dressing room.
17 Let the priests, who minister to the Lord, Weep between the porch and the altar; Let them say, “Spare Your people, O Lord, And do not give Your heritage to reproach, That the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’ ”

Salmo 51:10-13 (NVI)

10 Crea en mí, oh Dios, un corazón limpio, y renueva la firmeza de mi espíritu.
11 No me alejes de tu presencia ni me quites tu santo Espíritu.
12 Devuélveme la alegría de tu salvación; que un espíritu obediente me sostenga.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners shall be converted to You.
