To me, this is an amazing photo. My daughter-in-law was playing the piano when her son, Milo, wanted to help. Someone recorded this moment in history by taking this wonderful photograph. In the photo you see the experienced hand of a mother and the young, inexperienced hands of her son.
Milo had a wonderful time learning that pressing (and at times hitting) the keys resulted in wonderful sounds coming from inside the piano. I have to be honest here. It didn’t always sound wonderful to my trained ear, but you get the point. I could tell by the smile on his face that he thought it sounded wonderful–and that’s what counts. September 2019 has been the best month for growth since the inception of WordfortheWay.com. I give God all the glory and thanks for the tremendous growth we have been blessed with. And yes, I am REALLY excited about this!!
Coming into September we had touched a total of 44 countries since the start of the year. Up to that point, the greatest amount of countries that we had contact from in any one given month was in June 2019. That month we had 24 total with 13 of those being brand new countries for us. That was also the largest amount of new countries added in a month… up to that point.
Then came September!
The podcast dream has been in my heart and mind from the very first day that WordfortheWay.com came into being. It wasn’t until May of this year, however, that I started the actual process of learning to make a podcast. By July, I had actually recorded the first podcast. At that time I set a goal of having the first podcast published by mid-September.
The more I read, the more I learned. I ended up re-recording that first podcast 3 more times. My goal is to produce a high quality podcast. The good news is that today two podcasts have been recorded, and I only had to record the 2nd one twice. That’s progress! Right?
Early in August, my son, Austin, gave me some timely and very helpful podcast tips. As a result, a few weeks later I added some brief interludes and music to the mix.
Today, I completed a video course that covers mixing and publishing the audio files for the WordfortheWay.com Podcast. It took almost 10 hours to complete. My memory not being what it used to be, I realized early on that I’m not going to remember all this technical stuff in a one-time pass. So, as I was watching the videos today, I created two instruction sheets that will walk me through the process of finalizing the audio files. I can use these until I have produced enough podcasts to have it in memory.
It looks like, with the help of the Lord, the first podcast will indeed be ready before September 15. Right now I am tired but excited. I can hardly wait for Sunday to get here!
God bless you my friends.
